American Camp Association Gets Responsive

Imagistic was asked to redesign the American Camp Association's Find a Camp system. This extensive redesign has two primary goals: to bring the graphic look & feel to current standards, and to enable the system for tablet and mobile device users.

"Having designed and developed the Find a Camp system back in 2010, I am really excited to leverage current technologies to bring everything into current best practices," said Kevin Howard Goldberg, Imagistic's President. "Using Twitter's Bootstrap framework and focusing heavily on clean interface (UI) with a lot of white space, the newly designed Find a Camp will be easier to use than ever. In addition to the two primary goals, numerous user experience (UX) improvements are being made based on feedback from parents and camp directors, as well as an analysis of the six years worth of custom log files."

The Find a Camp system was initially built with a custom PHP and MySQL application framework, which has stood the test of time and usage, and leverages the Solr search platform built on Apache Lucene for the multi-dimensional faceted search.
